Wesley Hardisty is one to watch. Now seventeen, he took up the fiddle just four years ago in his hometown of Fort Simpson NWT. Living on Saltspring Island BC for the last 18 months, he attends the prestigious Gulf Islands School for Performing Arts (GISPA). His extraordinary musical talent has taken him all over Canada, performing at many camps and festivals.
While his roots are in Northern, Métis and West Coast fiddle music, he is always exploring and experimenting musically with new instruments and genres. As part of the band Wallabee Indeed, his sound has evolved into a unique sophisticated fusion.
